The XFL finished it’s first draft in this new campaign and we now have a clearer picture of what the rosters will look like. We will have some Wildcats to root for when February comes around starting with a guy that may end up going to the NFL instead of playing in the XFL, Austin MacGinnis. He was drafted in the open round by the Dallas Renegades and this selection came on the heels of his recent workout with the Patriots.
The St. Louis Battlehawks selected Farrington Huguenin in the open round and he’ll have a chance to work his way on the field in a professional setting instead of bouncing around on NFL practice squads.
Finally and probably the most surprising pick came when the DC Defenders selected Jordan Jones. He’ll join Jon Toth in DC will get his first chance to play professional football.
That’ll make 5 total former Kentucky players on XFL rosters including Jeff Badet who got drafted with the 4th overall pick in Phase 1 (Skill Players) by the Dallas Renegades. So, we have two teams that have two players on their rosters, here is the total breakdown:
Name | Team |
Austin MacGinnis | Dallas Renegades |
Jeff Badet | Dallas Renegades |
Jon Toth | DC Defenders |
Jordan Jones | DC Defenders |
Farrington Huguenin | St. Louis Battlehawks |
