Kentucky vs. Georgia Post Game Thoughts

Lynn Bowden created sone great opportunities and our defense kept us firmly in the game until late. The weather played into Kentucky’s hand as the rain caused Georgia to rely on the run more than it probably wanted to, especially when Kentucky was loading the box. The secondary was especially great covering downfield in man defense.

Overall, I think it was a great showing for the guys in blue and without a few mistakes it could’ve been a totally different game. Max Duffy did not like the rain and shanked a kick that allowed Georgia to capitalize on a short field for their first score. Then on the next drive, Bowden fumbles the ball and Georgia took advantage of another short field to go up 14-0. We can beat a lot of teams with Bowden as our QB but I’m not sure if Stoops is willing to play that game with a healthy Sawyer Smith ready to practice fully this week. Good game guys, thanks for keeping it interesting!
