Kentucky takes on undefeated Xavier.

Kentucky took on Xavier this past friday at the Ice Center. Xavier would come into this match up undefeated.

It didn’t take Kentucky long to get this game going. Jr Poole lights up the scoreboard putting one deep in the corner early in the first. Tucker holds Xavier to nothing at the end of the first.

From throwing hits to scoring goals, Gary Eastlack dominated in the second. He scores late in the second, giving Kentucky the 2-0 lead. The Cats Penalty kill has been on point for sure this game.

The Wildcats start the third period with a 2-0 lead. With 2:30 left in the period Xavier pulls their goalie, giving them a man advantage to try and tie the game. Xavier finds a way to get one past Tucker. Score is now 2-1, but Jimmy Kasch had a different idea. He scores on the empty net. Giving the Cats a bigger lead, 3-1 with .16 seconds left. Kentucky WINS!

Sam Tucker gets his first career win and the Kentucky Wildcats are 5-4 for the season. They will be on the road this weekend when they take on the Cincinnati Bearcats!
