Last week’s monster game was great and now it’s time to look ahead and talk about the race for the SEC Championship. Georgia is 5-1 and in the lead in the East BUT they have a tough game this week against Auburn and they follow up with Texas A&M next week. With the win against Florida last week they do hold a tie-breaker but they need to win one of the next two to go to Atlanta. Florida has Missouri this week in their final SEC game and will just have to wait and see what happens with Georgia with their fingers crossed. LSU feels like they won the West with last week’s huge win but they have three SEC games left to take care of. They play Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Texas A&M and would have to lose two of those games to fall out of the lead. I don’t see it happening. Alabama still has a chance to get in the playoff and is currently in 5th in the rankings. They still have Auburn to play and there’s never a clear favorite in the Iron Bowl. Kentucky will need to take care of business in Nashville so that the Louisville game is not for a bowl game, none of us want that stress!
Shout out to Western Kentucky for the huge win against Arkansas last week!
