15 Kentucky defeats Charlotte to improve to 8-0

Kentucky has had a hot start to the season as they are 7-0 and are looking to continue this undefeated streak as they host Charlotte at Memorial Coliseum this morning.

Kentucky started the first quarter with a three by Rhyne Howard. The Wildcats go on a 10-0 run before Charlotte gets a 3 to finally get on the board. Kentucky with back to back threes by KeKe McKinney and Rhyne Howard has Kentucky up, 16-3. Kentucky takes a 20 point lead after 10 minutes of action, 29-9.

Once again the Wildcats start the quarter with a 3 by Sabrina Haines, 32-9. Kentucky and Charlotte go back and forth with scoring points. They go into the break with a 44-22 lead.

Kentucky takes charge in the third quarter with a jumper by Tatyana Wyatt but Charlotte would respond with a layup, 46-24.  They once again go back and forth and Kentucky has a 62-33 lead after three quarters.

Kentucky would keep it up in the fourth quarter and not let Charlotte catch up with them at all and would get an 86-39 victory over Charlotte to improve to 8-0 on the season.

Kentucky hosts Samford Sunday at 2 p.m. ET
