Kentucky traveled to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama. Wildcats come back in the 3rd and 4th quarter to defeat Alabama 81-71.
Alabama with an early 9-3 lead as the only Wildcat to score is Rhyne Howard. It has been all Alabama here in the first quarter. Kentucky cuts it down to 3 as Chasity Patterson hits a 3 to make it 9-6. Alabama ends the first quarter on a 6-3 run.
Kentucky comes back in the second quarter taking the lead once, and then Alabama takes it back. Kentucky would take it back and keep the lead at the half, 37-24.
Alabama starts the third quarter on a 6-0 lead then Kentucky goes on a run and keeps the lead to finish the third quarter 61-49.
Kentucky starts the fourth quarter with a 3 by Rhyne Howard and then Alabama goes on a run before Kentucky responds with a 3 and it’s back and forth in the fourth. Kentucky would end up with a 10 point win, 81-71. Rhyne Howard had 43 points in this game and the Wildcats hits 16 3 pointers in this game. They go 13-2 overall and 2-1 in SEC.
