Kentucky comes off a win over Tennessee and snapped their 4 game losing streak in Knoxville. They take on Vanderbilt looking to sweep the Commodores after they already beat them in Lexington.
Vanderbilt with a hot start as they get a corner 3 and then a basket to have a 5-0 lead. Ashton Hagans gets Kentucky on the board making one of two free throws. Commodores with a basket, Tyrese Maxey with a 3 to add to the Wildcat score, but Vanderbilt responses with a 3 as well, Dores up by 6 here in the first but EJ adds to it and its down to 4, 10-6. Back to back threes for both teams. Vanderbilt still with the lead as it is up to 10, 25-15. Kentucky can’t seem to hit tonight and Vanderbilt can’t miss with lead being 36-24. Vanderbilt with a 36-27 lead at the half.
Kentucky on a 4-0 run but they miss back to back layup that costs them the chance to close in on the score, Vanderbilt hits a 3 to extend their lead to 8. Kentucky ties it up on free throws by EJ Montgomery, Tyrese Maxey scores to give Kentucky the lead, 48-46. Immanuel Quickley with a 3 and Kentucky adds to their lead, 65-57. Kentucky sweeps Vanderbilt with a 78-64 win
