Kentucky wins home series opener over Appalachian State

Kentucky hosts Appalachian State at Kentucky Proud Park for their second series of the season.

Trae Harmon with his second Big Blue Bomb of the season gets the Cats on the board. TJ Collett with a double to right center field to add to the Cats score, and they have an early 2-0 lead. A two run single into left field by Austin Schultz puts the Cats up 5-0. Appalachian State scores three runs, 5-3.  Jaren Shelby with a score for Kentucky, Cats are up 6-3. Big Blue Bomb for TJ Collett for the Cats to be 7-3 in the 8th inning.

Kentucky wins 7-3 over Appalachian State to give them their second win of the season. Kentucky plays Appalachian State tomorrow.
