3 seed Kentucky takes on 6 seed Tennessee in the 2020 SEC Tournament in Greenville, South Carolina.
Kentucky starts of first on the board with a layup from Rhyne Howard. Ogechi Anyagaligbo gives the Cats a 4-0 lead, but Tennessee finally scores. KeKe McKinney with a 3, Tennessee responds with one of their own, 7-5. Tennessee ties it up at 8, but Kentucky hits a 3 and Tennessee with a jumper for a one point game in the first quarter. Kentucky with a 17 -13 lead after the first quarter.
Tennessee starts the second with a jumper but the Wildcats with the lead still at 21-15. Tennessee with a 3, Chasity Patterson hits one of her own to make it 28-18. Back and Forth between Kentucky and Tennessee but the Wildcats still with the lead and will go into the break with a 44-28 lead.
Tennessee starts the third quarter with free throws; Rhyne Howard starts Kentucky with a 3 pointer, her 4th in this game. Another 3 pointer by Howard gives the Wildcats a 54-34 lead. Wildcats with a 71- 49 lead after the third.
Tennessee with free throws to start the fourth, Tatyana Wyatt with a layup, 73-51. Sabrina Haines with a 3 pointer for Kentucky, the Cats with an 80-59 lead. Kentucky defeats Tennessee 86-65 to advance in the SEC women’s semifinals tomorrow.
