Undefeated and #1 ranked Kentucky faced fifth ranked West Virginia in the 2015 Sweet 16 game of the 2015 NCAA Tournament. Aaron Harrison with the first points of the game for the Cats and he gets a 3 pointer giving them a 7-2 lead early in the first half. With another 3 pointer the lead grows to 10-2. The Kentucky lead just keeps growing to a 22-2 lead and then West Virginia has finally scored a little as Kentucky still leads them 30-11. Kentucky goes into the break with a 44-18 lead at halftime.
WVU with a free throw to start the second half, Kentucky responds with a basket by Devin Booker. Kentucky on an 8-0 run to extend their lead up to 52-19. Less than halfway through the half and Kentucky still leads West Virginia 62-30. Kentucky stays undefeated after obliterating West Virginia 78-39 to move on to the Elite Eight.
