Kentucky vs. Ole Miss 1/6/2015

No. 1 ranked Kentucky opens up 2015 SEC play hosting Ole Miss at Rupp Arena on 1/6/2015.

Kentucky is on the board first, followed by a 3 pointer giving the Cats an early 5-0 lead over Ole Miss. They extend that by 5 with a 3 pointer, 10-0 lead now for the Cats. Ole Miss is finally on the board, 12-2. Aaron Harrison with a 3 pointer, Ole Miss answers with one of their own, 15-5. Aaron with yet another 3 pointer for the Cats. Ole Miss has slowly caught up but Kentucky answers. Ole Miss with their first lead of the game over Kentucky, 34-28. Ole Miss leads Kentucky 38-36 at halftime.

Kentucky starts the second half tying the game up. Devin Booker with a 3 pointer, 2 more Kentucky baskets, then another Booker 3 pointer and the Cats lead 48-43. We are tied up at 55-55, Kentucky scores but Ole Miss takes back the lead, 59-57. Kentucky takes back the lead with a 3 pointer, 66-64. Kentucky and Ole Miss are all tied up at 77-77 and we head to overtime.

Ole Miss is the first to score in OT, but Devin Booker with a layup to tie it up again. Back and forth between these two teams and  Aaron Harrison ends it with  a 3 pointer, his brother Aaron with two free throws, and Andrew seals the overtime victory for Kentucky with a free throws, Kentucky survives hosting Ole Miss with an overtime 89-86 win to move to 14-0 overall and 1-0 in SEC.
