12 seed Kentucky will take on 13 seed Florida in the second match of the 2020 SEC Women’s Soccer Tournament. Kentucky hosted Florida last Friday at the Bell and defeated them 3-1 getting their only win of the season. They own a 1-4-3 record. This will be Kentucky’s first SEC Tournament since 2015 as they rematch with Florida. Kentucky has a 1-4 record over Florida in Orange Beach, this includes a 0-1 record in quarterfinals, 0-3 in semifinals, and a 1-0 in the championship rounds back in 2006, the Wildcat’s only tournament title in program history.
Florida holds a 1-6-1 record, only getting a win over Alabama. This marks Florida’s 26th SEC Tournament, which they have won 12 titles that include back to back titles in 201 and 2016.
This tournament is taking place in Orange Beach, AL at the Orange Beach Sportsplex. The game will be at 9:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network. SEC Network will carry the entire SEC Women’s Soccer Tournament.
