Kentucky will finally have their star player back when they take on Kansas State in the 2020 SEC/Big 12 Challenge this Thursday. Rhyne Howard finished serving her suspension after missing the first two games, in which Kentucky blew Murray State out of the water in their season opener and battled Belmont.
In their past two games Kentucky has proved that they could easily win without Rhyne Howard, but it’s going to be so good to have her back on the court and I can’t wait to see the combination of Howard, Patterson, and Edwards on the floor, it is going to be dangerous.
This will be Kentucky’s first road game of the season as they travel to Manhattan, KS and the third time they participate in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. The Cats first time was back in 2016 when they defeated Oklahoma 82-68 at Memorial Coliseum and their second was just a year later in 2017 when they faced Baylor in Waco, the Lady Bears would defeat Kentucky 90-63.
This will mark the first ever meeting between Kentucky and Kansas State in women’s basketball and Kentucky is 9-9 overall against Big 12 teams.
This game is on ESPN+ but you can follow along at ukathletics.com for live stats and tipoff is at 7:30 p.m. ET
