Kentucky is still looking for another win after losing three straight in a row to Richmond, Kansas, and Georgia Tech, they have only one win and that’s against Morehead State. Notre Dame is in the same boat only having 2 losses and one lone win over Detroit Mercy.
The Fighting Irish lack one thing that the Cats don’t, depth in the paint, meaning they have to play small lineups, something the Cats weren’t use to and were thrown off their game against Georgia Tech.
Coach Calipari started his Camp Cal this week and he was focusing on two things, Toughness and Turnovers, which both the Cats had trouble with in the past four game averaging 19.3 TO per game. They also struggled with 3 pointer with none against Kansas and just 8 against Georgia Tech.
The Cats have a 43-19 overall record against Notre Dame. The Cats won their first ever meeting 19-16 on 1/12/1929 and their last meeting they won 68-66 3/28/2015 in the 2015 NCAA Midwest Regional Final.
