DePaul halftime

No. 9 ranked Kentucky takes on No. 24 ranked DePaul in their second road game during non-conference as they are close to closing their non-conference schedule up this weekend.

Kentucky on the board first with a layup by Dre’Una Edwards, followed by a layup from Rhyne Howard. DePaul on the board with free throws, but Kentucky maintains a lead as the quarter goes on; DePaul ties it up then Kentucky scores a few more points but DePaul comes from behind with a 3 pointer to take the lead as the quarter comes to a close, 22-21.

Robyn Benton starts us out in the second quarter with a layup, but right behind her is DePaul’s Kendall Holmes with a jumper, but Dre’Una hits a jumper to put is back up top, this is going to be a close one. DePaul scores again, and so does Kentucky. A Kentucky foul sends DePaul to the line and they tie up the game again and then miss their second one, Dre’Una Edwards rebounds but Robyn Benton misses her 3 to give DePaul the chance to take the lead again with a jumper. DePaul up to a 4 point lead as Kentucky has missed their last two attempts. Kentucky has cut it down to just one point after a free throw and layup, but it’s short lived with a layup from DePaul, but Robyn Benton hits a much needed 3 pointer for us to tie the game, followed by a jumper for the lead, DePaul with a layup to tie the game. Rhyne Howard with a layup and the Cats take a 37-35 lead into halftime.
