Kentucky is off to a 1-4 record, a record they haven’t had since 1984, Joe B. Hall’s last season. But the young Cats showed some heart and fight in the second half when at one point they went on a 16-0 run and also got the deficit down to just ONE point, but Olivier Sarr missed a tip in at the buzzer and Kentucky fell to Notre Dame 64-63. They have another chance to bounce back when they face UNC in the 2020 CBS Sports Classic in Cleveland.
The Tarheels are off to a 4-2 start and this will be the third game between the two teams and Kentucky has two wins over UNC in both CBS Sports Classics but the Tarheels have a 24-19 record over the Cats.
Kentucky was orignially suppose to play UCLA but things got flipped so UCLA will now play Ohio State and Kentucky plays UNC.
These two blue bloods go head to head in Cleveland, OH this Saturday at 2 p.m. ET on CBS
