Louisville postgame

Isaiah Jackson starts the Cats off with back to back baskets and Boston with a free throw to give the Cats a 32-28 lead. Louisville with a basket, a basket for Mintz and then a 3 pointer for the Cards, they are within one again. Kentucky a 4 minute scoreless drought as Louisville got back to back basket to take a 3 point lead, Davion Mintz at the line for two, he makes both to get the Cats within one again. Flagrant foul on Sarr sends Louisville to the line for two, makes both and then a basket puts the lead up to five, 41-36. Another scoreless drought for the Cats as Louisville still with the lead and the Cats start to fall apart as the Cards have a 47-41 lead. Once down by 7 the Cats get it down to 5 but it’s up to 7 again with a Cards basket. Davion Mintz with a much needed 3 pointer to get within four, but a Kentucky foul puts them up by 6. More back and forth here in the last several minutes with a 3 by Mintz, more baskets and free throws and Boston has the Cats within just three, the boys are staying in this fight, let’s just hope they can finish it out strong. Back and forth a missed 3 pointer, foul Louisville up by 3 and the Cats come up short but they fought a good fight.

Final Louisville 62, Kentucky 59

 Kentucky falls to 1-6 for the first time since 1911, they close out non conference schedule and start SEC play next Saturday against Mississippi State on the road in Starkville.
