NC State is finally on the board with a 9 yard touchdown followed by a PAT to catch up to Kentucky, 13-7. Kentucky with a field goal in the fourth to give them a 16-7 lead. NC State gets a touchdown and a PAT to get within just two of Kentucky. Another touchdown from the Cats followed by another by NC State. Kentucky defeats NC State 23-20 to win their third straight bowl game.

Kentucky finishes out the season 5-6 and NC State falls to 8-4.
