Texas A &M preview

 10th ranked Kentucky is back on the road again as they head to College Station to take on 8th ranked Texas A &M. This will be their third straight ranked opponent as they have defeated then 10th ranked Arkansas75-64 and 12th ranked Mississippi State in an overtime thriller, 92-86.

After their impressive performance this week earned junior, Rhyne Howard was named espnW National player of the week, Naismith Trophy National Player of the Week, along with College Sports Madness National Player of the Week, and SEC Player of the week. Coach Kyra Elzy was named espnW National Coach of the Week, and the whole team was named the first ever USBWA National Team of the week. Howard had 24 points against Arkansas and 33 against Mississippi State but she averages 18.8 ppg, 7.3 rebounds and a team best with 23 three pointers made, she also has 29 assists and 14 steals. Behind her is Chasity Patterson with 13.8 ppg, leading the Cats with 32 assists and 44 steals.

Texas A &M is coming into this matchup with a perfect 10-0 and being ranked 8th, being 1-0 in SEC play after defeating Florida 92-67 and have defeated their other two ranked opponents.  This game will mark the 12th overall meeting between the Cats and the Aggies, the Cats trail in the series 5-6, but lead 3-2 at College Station, having lost 4 straight in the series but finally got a 76-54 win in Lexington, this also marks just the second game where both teams are ranked. They face Texas A &M at 8:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network from Reed Arena.
