Kentucky baseball player, Ben Jordan, passes tragically at 22

News is coming out of Lexington that former basketball player, current baseball player Ben Jordan, tragically passed last night; the cause of death has not been released. Please be courteous of the Jordan family and the baseball and basketball community as they grieve during this time.

Jordan, a 6 foot 9 right-handed pitcher out of Olive Hill, KY and West Carter graduate was a dual player as he played baseball and basketball for his high school.  Jordan redshirted his freshman year due to a Tommy john surgery during his senior year (’17) and played in 10 games in 2019, pitching 8.2 innings during that time that included a scoreless inning against Vanderbilt to close out the 2019 season.

Ben was a walk-on during the 2019-2020 basketball season just playing in two games. He was a great addition to the team and helped out during practices when the team was short-handed on big men, he apparently helped out former Cat, Nick Richards with his breakout games.

We here at UK Fans All Day send our love, prayers, and condolences to the Jordan family along with the baseball and basketball community.
