Chasity Patterson gets the Cats started in the third quarter with a basket, Vanderbilt with a basket and free throws to get within one, followed by another basket to take the lead but Kentucky will answer to take it back. Vanderbilt with a 3 pointer but Blair Green answers with one of her own, a basket and free throw we are tied up again, 47-47. Vanderbilt scores another and Patterson responds for the Cats tying it up, a foul on Vanderbilt sends Patterson to the line, she makes one of two and KeKe McKinney with a basket put the Cats back up, but Vandy with a basket within one again. Kentucky with one of two free throws and Vanderbilt ties it up and then takes the lead just building onto it as the Cats trail, Kentucky with a basket then 3 pointer they are back within one, Vanderbilt leads 59-58 after three.
Blair Green starts Kentucky in the fourth with a basket, she leads Kentucky with 16 points, and Vanderbilt answers with a basket to go back up front. KeKe McKinney with a 3 pointer, but Vandy answers with a basket tying it up; they get a basket and go ahead once more. There have been 10 lead changes and 5 ties in this game, 65-63. Vanderbilt up 69-65 their largest lead since the first quarter but Kentucky has it down to two after free throws by Dre’Una Edwards, they go to take the lead but can finish, and Vandy has the chance to add to theirs. Blair Green with a 3 pointer, and Chasity Patterson with a basket to add to that lead, and another basket for the Cats, 74-69. Vanderbilt back to the line after a Kentucky foul and its back down to just three, 74-71 with a minute left. Kentucky ends their quarter with 6 free throws and Vanderbilt gets a basket but Kentucky will defeat Vanderbilt 80-73.
