Kentucky is staying in this game as they will still Tennessee as Keion Brooks gets another basket for 21 points, 58-48 for the Cats. Tennessee has gone on an 8-0 run to make it just a 2 point game halfway through the second half, make that a 10- 0 run to tie up the game, they take the lead, Devin Askew scores to tie it up again. Keion Brooks at the line for two, he makes both for the Cats to take the lead back. Tennessee scores and ties it again, Kentucky answers and so does Tennessee. We are tied up once more and Tennessee breaks the tie with free throws and the another basket, another trip to the line for the Vols, they make both on an 8-0 run and an 8 point lead as Kentucky has been struggling here as of late. Kentucky can’t seem to score as Tennessee just keeps on adding to their lead as it has grown to ten, Devin Askew makes both of his free throws, but Tennessee answers. Tennessee drains a 3 pointer, Kentucky answers with one. Tennessee defeats Kentucky by 11, 82-71. Kentucky falls to 5-12 overall, 4-6 in SEC.
I honestly don’t know what this team can do to salvage what’s left of the season but I don’t think an NCAA Tournament is in their future this year.
Kentucky will host Arkansas at Rupp on Tuesday.
