SEC Tournament Quarterfinal: Georgia postgame

Jazmine Massengill with back to back baskets to start off the third quarter, Georgia gets one of two free throws. Chasity Patterson knocks down a three pointer but Georgia still seems to have an answer as they lead by a dozen and has gone on a 7-0 run as they lead 43-29. Rhyne Howard with a basket, but Georgia goes to the line for two and makes them both. Kentucky with two more baskets, and Georgia is back at the line and they make them both. Georgia with a basket, and Howard at the line makes one of two, Georgia with a basket, Kentucky with a basket, and Georgia makes one of two. Kentucky is slowly chipping away and Georgia’s free throws are killing us and the Bulldogs will have a 58-47 lead after three. The fourth quarter is Kentucky’s last chance to do anything to stay alive here in the tournament and advance to the semifinals.

Jazmine Massengill with a basket in the fourth to starts things for the Cats, Georgia makes both free throws, Kentucky gets a basket, and Georgia with two more free throws. Georgia with a basket, Kentucky responds, and the Bulldogs drains a 3 pointer, Howard with two more, and Georgia answer right back. Rhyne Howard makes both free throws but it’s not enough as Kentucky will fall the Bulldogs.

Final Georgia 78, Kentucky 66

Kentucky falls to Georgia ending their SEC Tournament run. Up next, the 2021 NCAA Women’s Tournament, we will find out where the Wildcats will go on March 15th for Selection Monday.
