Kentucky’s 2021-2022 non-conference schedule has been set and released today. Kentucky will start off with their annual Big Blue Madness (October 15), followed by the Blue White game ( October 22nd), they will host Kentucky Wesleyan ( October 29th) and Miles College ( November 5th) in exhibition. They open up their regular season by taking on Duke (November 9th) in the Champions Classic at Madison Square Garden in New York. Then they will have the Kentucky Classic at Rupp Arena hosting Robert Morris ( November 12), Mount St. Mary’s ( November 16), and Ohio ( November 19). Four more home games as the Cats host Albany ( November 22) , North Florida ( November 26). Former assistant coach Tony Barbee will be coming back to Rupp Arena as he brings his new team, Central Michigan to face the Cats, (November 29). Kentucky will start a 5 year plan as they have the Unity series, a series in which they will host HBCUs, they will host Southern (December7) in the first game of the 5 year plan. Kentucky will travel to South Bend, IN to take on Notre Dame, (December 11) then to Las Vegas to take on Ohio State (December 18) in the CBS Sports Classic. They round out the non conference schedule hosting Louisville ( December 22), Tubby Smith’s High Point ( December 31), and then travel to Lawrence, Kansas to take on Kansas in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.
