13 Kentucky vs. Ohio: Kentucky Classic

Kentucky is on the board first as Keion Brooks hits a basket for the Cats, Oscar Tshiebwe with the early foul already, Ohio’s Jason Carter drains a 3 pointer for the Bobcats, to take a 3-2 lead, Tshiebwe with another foul already. Bobcats with another basket to make it a 5-2 lead, TyTy Washington with the basket, to make it just 5-4. Ohio with a basket and 1, Miles Brown  at the line, he misses, 7-4 for the Bobcats.  Ohio with back to back baskets to make it 11-4, Kentucky with a basket, Sahvir Wheeler at the line for two, he makes both, 11-8 for the Bobcats. Ohio at the line for two, Mark Sears makes one of two free throws. Bryce Hopkins at the line, he makes both, Ben VanderPlas with a 3 pointer for the Bobcats, Lunden McDay with a 3 pointer as well , Kentucky trails 18-10. Sahvir Wheeler with a layup for Kentucky, Ben VanderPlas with a  layup, it’s a 20-12 Bobcat lead.   Washington with a basket, VanderPlas answers, Daimion Collins with a basket and 3 pointer to make it just a 3 point game, but Bobcat with a basket, Dontaie Allen with a 3 pointer, and Davion Mintz with a basket to tie things up at 24-24. Bobcats at the line for two, they make one of two. Keion Brooks at the line for two, he makes both to give Kentucky their  first lead since the start of the game, Wheeler misses but Bryce Hopkins gets the basket, Ohio to the line for two, they make both, 28-27. Ohio back with the lead as a 3 pointer is made, Washington with a basket ties it up, but Ohio heads to the line for three free throws, to make it 33-30. Keion Brooks with a basket, Ohio with basket and then a 3 pointer, Kentucky with a basket, and then  Keion Brooks at the ,line for two, he makes both to tie things up, Davion Mintz to the line for three free throw, he makes two  of three for Kentucky to take a 40-38 lead into halftime over Ohio.

Ohio with a basket to start the second half and tie it up and then get two more baskets to take the lead, going on a 6-0 run. Kentucky finally ends their scoring drought with several baskets from Keion Brooks as the Cats have taken a 48-46. Ohio with a basket ties it up again, Keion Brooks with a basket for the Cats, regains the lead , Sahvir Wheeler with a basket, Washington drains a 3 pointer, and a basket makes it 57-48 for the Cats. Ohio with a 3 pointer ends their scoring drought. Kentucky with baskets and free throws brings them to a 68-57 lead as VanderPlas drains a 3 pointer. Kentucky with back to back baskets they take a 72-57 lead.  Kentucky defeats Ohio, 77-59.
