20 Kentucky vs. WKU

Bowling Green, Kentucky was hit by two devastating tornadoes roughly a week and half ago, 17 lives were claimed in the town. The WKU men’s basketball team took to their town the following Monday to help clean up around Bowling Green, Louisville who came to town the next Saturday came with a separate bus full of toys for kids affected by the tornadoes. THe Kentucky Athletics department teamed up the following Tuesday and ran a four hour telethon raising 3.3 million dollars that since then has been upped to 4.6 million dollars towards the Kentucky United tornado relief with a 100,000 contribution from tonight’s game.

Oscar Tshiebwe gets the Cats on the board first, WKU on the board and their headed to the line for a 3 point play, they make it for the Hilltoppers to take the lead but its short lived as Keion Brooks scores a basket for the Cats, WKU answers to go back up front, but TyTy Washington respond with a basket and Sahvir Wheeler with a basket for the Cats to go ahead 8-5.  Sahvir Wheeler with a 3 pointer and TyTy Washington but Sharp for the Tops with a pick and roll scores a basket, 13-7. Oscar Tshiebwe with just his second basket of the game, Sahvir Wheeler drains a 3 pointer for the Cats, Jacob Toppin adds a basket, WKU with a basket, but TyTy Washington answers, 21-9. WKU with back to back baskets cutting the lead to just 9. Kellan Grady at the line for three, he makes them all. WKU with a basket,  Jacob Toppin with a basket, WKU with a basket, adn Oscar Tshiebwe answers right back with a basket of his own, 29-17.  WKU with a basket, but Kellan Grady drains back to back 3 pointers for the Cats making it 35-19. WKU with a basket and then free throws, Anderson with a 3 pointer for the Tops, it’s now 35-26. Oscar Tshiebwe with a basket, WKU with a basket and Kentucky will take a 37-28 lead into the half.

Camron Justice with a layup and the to the line for a free throw, Jairus Hamilton makes both free throws going on a 5-0 run but Kellan Grady drains a 3 pointer for the Cats, Wheeler follows with  jumper, Kellan Grady with another 3 pointer and a jumper followed by a dunk from Jacob Toppin for a 12-0 Kentucky run, they lead 49-33.  Kellan Grady with a third 3 pointer, Josh Anderson answers for the Tops, Oscar Tshiebwe at the line for two, he makes both. Jacob Toppin with a dunk, Wheeler with a layup, WKU answers with a 3 pointer. Kentucky leading 68-42 halfway through the second half. Jacob Toppin with a dunk, followed by a 3 pointer from TyTy Washington, Darius Miles with a layup, Washington with a layup, Josh Anderson to the line for two, he makes both, Luke Frampton at the line for two, he makes both. Zan Payne with a layup,Bryce Hopkins with a jumper, adn Brennan Canada closes out the half with a layup for Kentucky to defeat WKU 95-60.
