16 Kentucky bounces back against Georgia; Washington passes Wall’s assist record

Kentucky looks to bounce back after their road loss to LSU on Tuesday, Kentucky will be without Sahvir Wheeler tonight after he sustained a neck injury in the game against LSU.

TyTy Washington gets Kentucky on the board first, Georgia answers with a 3 pointer to lead 3-2, they get back to back baskets to take a 7-2 lead. Davion Mintz with a basket gives the Cats another basket, Oscar Tshiebwe with a dunk, Georgia with a 3 pointer and a basket to take a 12-6 lead. Oscar Tshiebwe with a basket, TyTy Washington with a basket and free throw, Kellan Grady with a basket gives the Cats the lead 13-12, but Georgia hits a 3 pointer to take back, Oscar Tshiebwe with a basket to tie things up, 15-15. Davion Mitz drains a 3 pointer for the Cats and we have regained the lead back, they get a basket but Georgia hits a 3 pointer and then get a basket to tie things up and a free throw to take the lead, Davion Mintz drains a 3 pointer to take the lead, Georgia with a basket ties it up. Kentucky with back to back baskets makes it 27-24. Kentucky scores again, Georgia to the line for two, Kentucky answers with a basket from Tshiebwe, Georgia scores and then they head back to the line for two, tying the game up. Georgia take the lead, Kentucky ties it up with a basket by TyTY Washignton, Georgia with a layup, Kellan Grady drains a 3 pointer, Georgia with another layup, Oscar Tshiebwe and Keion Brooks ends the half with jumpers to take a 40-37 lead into halftime.

TyTy  Washington with a basket to get the Cats started, Keion Brooks adds a basket for the Cats to take a 7 point lead. Georgia with a 3 pointer and then a basket to get within two, Oscar Tshiebwe heads to the line for two, he makes both  to put the Cats back up by four. Tyty Washington with a layup, Georgia with a jumper, Oscar Tshiebwe with a dunk. Georgia makes one of two free throws, TyTy Washington with a jumper and Kellan Grady with a layup, Cats with their largest lead, 54-45.  Davion Mintz drains a 3 pointer,  Noah Baumann answers with a 3 pointer for Georgia. Oscar Tshiwbwe  with a layup, and he makes one of two free throws. Georgia at the line for two, they make both and it’s a ten point game, 60-50. Aaron Cook with a layup for Georgia, Davion Mintz with a  jumper and Oscar Tshiebwe throws down a dunk for the Cats, they lead 64-52. Oscar Tshiebwe with a basket, Georgia answers, Keion Brooks with a basket for the Cats, Georgia with a basket, Keion with another basket, Davion Mintz drains a 3 pointer. Georgia with a layup, Keion Brooks to the line for two, he makes both, Kentucky leads 75-58. Christian Wright with a 3 pointer for Georgia and TyTy Washington answers with a layup, 77-61. Oscar Tshiebwe with a jumper and Davion Mintz drains a 3 pointer, Georgia at the line for two, he makes just one. Lance Ware with a layup, Georgia back to the line for two, he makes both, Kentucky foul, Georgia back to the line, makes both. Keion Brooks with a dunk. Keion Brooks with a dunk, Georgia to the lien for two, Oscar Tshiebwe  with a dunk, TyTy Washington with his 17th assist, he passes John Wall’s record of 16 assists set back in 2009, Georgia gets the last basket, but Kentucky rolls to another win as they bounce back and defeat Georgia 92-77.
