Oscar Tshiebwe leads Kentucky pass Vanderbilt

Oscar Tshiebwe with the first basket to get the Cats on the board, TyTy Washington drains a 3 pointer, and then a basket for the Cats to have an early 7-0 lead. Vanderbilt gets on the board, Tshiebwe with another basket. Vanderbilt catches up to make it just 9-8.  Kentucky on an 8-0 run to extend their lead to 17-8. Vandy with a 3 pointer, Keion Brooks with a basket and then Davion Mintz drains a 3, Vandy with back to back baskets, 22-15. Vandy with 7 more to tie things up, Kellan Grady drains a 3 pointer and then a basket.  Kentucky went on a 14-0 run but Vandy ended their scoring drought with a bucket  or two and took a 41-28 lead into halftime.

Vanderbilt with the first basket of the second half, Oscar Tshiebwe with a basket for the Cats, Kellan Grady with a flush, Vanderbilt with a pretty 3 pointer, Davion Mintz answers with one, Tshiebwe at the line for two, he makes both, Vanderbilt with a 3 pointer from Trey Thomas, his second of the half, Brooks responds with a  3 pointer of his own, 53-36. Vanderbilt with a 3 pointer, but Kentucky leads 64-48. Bryce Hopkins with a basket for the Cats. Cats up to 74-48. Bryce Hopkins makes the last basket for the Cats as the stay at 78 while Vanderbilt will score 16 straight as Kentucky will defeat Vanderbilt on the road 78-66 as Oscar Tshiebwe has a career high 30 points and 12 rebounds, the last Wildcat to do that was Tayshaun Prince on 12/09/01.
