As each day passes fans get more and more excited for yet another Alumni game to be held in Rupp Arena. It’ll be a place where you can see so many former favorite Cats all in one spot. Of course Kentucky can’t release the names of the players involved but they can surely take to twitter to inform us. The list is now up to four: Eric Bledsoe, Trey Lyles, Darius Miller and now Demarcus Cousins have all pledged for the fans to get their tickets!

Go here: Time is running out. Don’t miss out on the fun.

Nothing official has been released about the Kentucky Basketball Charity game taking place after the Legends due to NBA rules. But today three former Cats gave us a little hint that they’ll be back in Rupp very soon.

Trey Lyles, Eric Bledsoe and hometown hero Darius Miller will all be back in action on Rupp’s court this coming weekend, August 25th.

Kentucky makes the cut for RJ Barrett

Class of 2018, No.1 ranked Rj Barrett cuts his list to five and Kentucky is included. He just recently reclassified from the 2019 class. If you remember he was also on Team Canada shortly before that and beat Team USA and Cal.

Could the Cats add another Canadian? It seems that Cal enjoys them and so do we.

Tayshaun Prince isn’t done just yet

According to the Commercial Appeal, Prince will be named the special assistant of the Memphis Grizzlies general manager.

Of course one day we all knew his time on the court would end. He’s had an awesome and decently long career in which he won an NBA ring with the Detroit Pistons. He became the guy other teammates wanted on their team, someone they could look to for guidance.

He even did some pretty astounding things in his Kentucky Basketball days, here’s a flashback:

Basketball: Simi Shittu cuts his list and Kentucky is included

Top 10 Power Forward, Simi Shittu announced a list of his 10 school choices.

Kentucky, whom he doesn’t have an actual offer from yet, made the list. Of course I look for Kentucky to move past Oregon as the favorite in his recruitment when/if the offer from Cal comes. Here’s the rest of his list, it also includes another blue blood in UNC:

Sixteen Players Selected and Derek Willis is one of them

Congrats are in order once again for Derek Willis, now one of 16 players invited to  USA’s Team training camp for the AmeriCup. It will take place at the Univeristy of Houston on August 17-24. He will then fight for a spot on the final 12-man roster, need I remind you he made the 16 player cut with only NBA G-league players being invited. They will travel to Uruguay to begin play after the final roster is set.

This will be just one more chance to see Willis shine before being officially on an NBA roster. Earlier this offseason, just after the draft Derek was signed to the Detroit Pistons on a one-year deal. This will have no impact on his signing though. He gets the chance to go out there and get ready for his NBA opportunity before the season begins. What more could a guy ask for right?

Go Derek Go.
