I had the opportunity to to talk to Chance and here’s what he had to say! 

What made you choose Kentucky?

“I always wanted to play big time college football and this was the SEC also, I have a great chance of starting my first year and the community felt like family. No matter where i went there was nothing negative in Lexington at all.”

What do you hope to accomplish at UK?

“Goal is to use this scholarship to get a college education and start a normal life. I want to contribute to the team as much as possible wether i’m kicking game winners or just making extra points. I want the University to have one of the best, hard working, humbled kicker they ever had. Mostly make an impact and help this program.”

How do you feel about the football program at Kentucky as a whole? 

“It’s growing. I’ve seen past games and huge upsets Kentucky has pulled off and I know that we can compete in the SEC and even big power house teams.”

Are there any currently committed players that you are excited to play with?

“As a kicker I won’t be working with any of the commits as much. I’m excited to meet the guys get to know them more and get to work with the specialist already on the team and helping each other get better. All in all I really can’t wait to watch what our players and commits have to show for Kentucky.”

Is there a sense of brother brotherhood with the 2018 class?

“Yes. Haven’t even met the guys and I already feel like we’re family. Can’t wait to meet and get to know these guys and help each other get better.”

If you were able to do anything other than play football, what would it be and why?

“Probably be a normal student. Student Sections and help out with my high school because I always want to contribute in anyway possible.”

What do you like doing when you’re not playing football?

“Relaxing and recovering from football. Other things would probably be like spring sports like soccer and any events like student section things anything with highschool.” 

What’s your favorite place to eat at and what do you order?

“probably chipotle with a chicken quesadilla.”

“gotta be 🤷🏻‍♂️”

Anything you want BBN to know? 

“special teams will be a factor for opponents to look out for. I will make sure I give my all every year, game, and kick.”

Alex was one of the first to commit to the wildcats for the 2018 class. Alex is something this program needs. He’s not just a great player he’s a great recruiter. Since day one he’s always been trying to recruit his friends/teammates.

What made you choose Kentucky?

“It had what I was looking for. I know people care about me and my future there. I’ll get a good education. I’m close to home, I have a chance at early playtime and I’ll be in the best conference there is with a upcoming program.”

What do you hope to accomplish at UK?

“I come from a winning program and a winning team. I plan to win, that’s what I wanna accomplish, win. And be the best jack to step foot at UK.”

How do you feel about the football program at Kentucky as a whole?

“I feel great, I feel like stoops is really changing the place and we have a bright future ahead of us.”

What other schools have you visited?

“Michigan, Michigan state, osu, UT, wisconsin, PITT, Penn State, etc”

Did any of there facilities compare to UK’s new ones?

“Man, not really, I enjoyed the stadiums and the weightrooms, they all try to be bigger and better, I do love the stadiums and weight rooms, but personally, not really.”

Everyone knows how hard Kentucky is recruiting your fellow teammate/friend Blue. How important is it for you two to keep playing together?

“Very. We will both early enroll and I think we will be able to room together and it would really help us both develop quicker being more comfortable knowing someone, plus I’ve seen what he can do, he’s one of the most underrated recruits, he should be atleast top 5 in the nation, so having him, giving Jarren another huge threat, it would really make things great.”

Is there a current player or prospect that you look forward to playing with?

“Tobias”

Do you have any interesting recruiting stories? 

“Man not really, just thankful for it all, I’ve got to see and meet amazing people and things, its all a blessing, nothing interesting”

“Uh, just lift and do college work, that’s it fr”

“I would be a cop, or a firefighter.”

Akeem Hayes

Former University of Louisville commit Akeem Hayes flipped his commitment to Kentucky late last night. Hayes is a 3 star Widereceiver from Hollywood,FL. 

Hayes attends chaminade-madonna highschool in Hollywood, Fl. Recently Kentucky has been recruiting chaminade-madonna highschool very hard. Kentucky has two chaminade-madonna alumni ( Josh Ali, Chris Whitt)  on the team right now. Hayes is the third commit (Davoan Hawkins, Marvin Alexander & now Akeem Hayes) out of the 2018 class. Hayes younger teammates (Class of 2019) Keontra Smith also committed to Kentucky a few days before Hayes.

The 6’1, 200 pound Outside Linebacker from Detroit, Michigan committed to Kentucky yesterday afternoon. 

According to 247sports he is a 3 star, Rivals have him as a 3 star, while scout has him as a 4 star. He has offers from Penn st, Ohio st, Michigan st, and Wisconsin. 

Jarren Williams is back! 

Jarren Williams is back! After Decommiting  April the 24th the 4 Star Jarren Williams will be recommitting. 

Williams decommit didn’t come to a surprise for many U.K. Fans has he kept getting huge offers. He almost has a offer from ever team in the SEC. Before his decomitment he got a offer of a life time. The University of Alabama. Following his Offer from Alabama he got a offer from instate school Georgia. 

After all of this most fans thought he was gone while other still had hope for him. While the has come, Williams has recommitted to Kentucky.

Today had its highs and lows for all Kentucky football fans.

It started with Cadarius Gaskin’s *** Decommit this morning. This suprises many people because he has only been committed for a little under a month.
