Former University of Louisville commit Akeem Hayes flipped his commitment to Kentucky late last night. Hayes is a 3 star Widereceiver from Hollywood,FL.

Hayes attends chaminade-madonna highschool in Hollywood, Fl. Recently Kentucky has been recruiting chaminade-madonna highschool very hard. Kentucky has two chaminade-madonna alumni ( Josh Ali, Chris Whitt)  on the team right now. Hayes is the third commit (Davoan Hawkins, Marvin Alexander & now Akeem Hayes) out of the 2018 class. Hayes younger teammates (Class of 2019) Keontra Smith also committed to Kentucky a few days before Hayes.

Ayo Dosunmu drawing Kentucky interest

He’s a 4 ⭐️ PG.

2018 class from Morgan Park in Chicago, IL.

6’4 172 pounds.

Basketball recruiting analyst at Rivals.com, Corey Evans said Dosunmu recently picked up interest from the Kentucky Wildcats.

Corey Evans said this about Ayo, who had a very impressive weekend:

As the weekend wore on, Ayo Dosunmu rose to the top. He’s almost a guaranteed 20 points or more each time he takes the floor because of his ability to get to the rim. He has some De’Aaron Fox in his game and with an improved jumper Dosunmu has the chance to become one of the hardest defensive assignments in the 2018 class.

Recruiting: Heading to Illinois and DePaul this month for team camps, each program remains in the mix, along with others including Butler, Northwestern and newfound interest by way of Kentucky.

Rivals lists his offers as including the likes of Butler, Cincinnati, Illinois, Iowa State, Missouri, Texas A&M, Xavier, etc. Illinois may be high on his list because it’s the home state school but getting interest from Kentucky is always a good sign.

Here’s a pretty cool mixtape of his too:

Kentucky Basketball: Cameron Johnson Commits

Cameron Johnson commits to UNC.

He will likely forgo being able to play 2 years at any other school to play just one at UNC. He will most likely sit out next season due to Pitt restricting him to play immediately at an ACC school. Unless Pitt gives in and let’s him be eligible immediately.

He had visited Arizona, Kentucky, UCLA and took a last visit to UNC before deciding. He had a couple other schools on his list also.

With Kentucky already loaded with stars it seemed almost inevitable that he would land elsewhere. Although there was still a spot open at Kentucky.

HUGE Recruiting News

This could be what we’ve all been waiting for! Kentucky is the favorite for one of the top athletes in the nation. Will he join Jarren Williams, Alex Reigelsperger, Shockey Jacques-Louis, and the other big names in the 2018 class of football recruits? Give me your predictions!

Kentucky Basketball Target: Javonte Smart has some nice words

IMG_8216

Its always hard to get the hometown recruit away from their home state school but Javonte Smart is leaving the door open.

He has an open list of Baylor, Florida st, OSU, Kansas, UNC and many more but his home state team LSU seems to be up there on the list. He has drawn much interest from Kentucky and their coaching staff lately also. He even believes an offer may come soon.

It seems almost likely that Cal will offer Smart due to his past with successful point guards and guards here at Kentucky. He visited Smart at his high school in recent months too. He is the #1 rated point guard in the class of 2018.

It also helps that one of his favorite players “the best point guard in the east” was a Calipari product–John Wall.

Could he be next seasons Wildcat point guard? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Kentucky Basketball: Cameron Johnson ready to decide

img_6593-1

It seems like with his recent visit to UNC, Cameron Johnson’s ready to decide sooner rather than later.

He even played a little pick up game to get the feel of UNC basketball in which included many former Tarheels.

It almost seems like he’s made up his mind to go to UNC regardless of having to sit out 1 year of play. Only time will tell.
